Amazon Buying Audible

I suppose it’s a natural fit…  Amazon is buying AudibleAudible provides digital audio books that you can listen to on your computer, device, or burn to CD.  I’ve been an Audible subscriber for a while.  It’s absolutely fantastic.  The only bummer is that their format is STILL not supported by Zune.  grrr…  I have to use my crappy old Sandisk player to listen to audio books.  Come on, Microsoft…

The press release says the deal is for "an aggregate transaction value of approximately $300 million which includes Audible.com’s cash and short-term investments at closing."
