November can be a dreary month for Atlantic Canadians. This year, both Canadian Thanksgiving and the Canadian election will be over. The leaves will be off the trees but the landscape won’t be covered with a blanket of snow. Our November holiday, Remembrance Day, is somber and contemplative while the promise of December festivities looms a bit far in the distance.
So for my fellow bloggers and podcasters living in Atlantic Canada, may I suggest in November 2008 that we interrupt the dreariness with an Atlantic Canada Blogger & Podcaster Dinner?
I suggest something in the Moncton – Amherst corridor as it is fairly central (unless you’re from Newfoundland – sorry). Perhaps November 14 or 21 (a Friday night gives you the option to plan a weekend away).
Unlike the awesome Third Tuesday NB social media meetups, this is not intended for anyone with a Twitter account. This dinner is for people who actively produce content for a blog, audio podcast, or video podcast. No presentations, just good food and conversation.
If you’re interested, leave a comment below to let me know and I’ll get it organized. And please leave your location and restaurant suggestions (and a link to your blog / podcast).

Sounds like a great idea, Derek. Of course Sackville is very central and Joey’s is a good restaurant. I’m available on the 14th and the 21st (for now) and would love to attend.
My name is Harold, and I’m a Blogger …
