Installed Vista RC1 on my tablet PC last night

People who read my blogs or have worked with me know that I love my tablet PC*. I put Vista RC1 on it last night and so far I am very impressed with the improved tablet experience.

My big complaint is that the driver for the wireless adapter was missing but came up on Windows Update immediately. The M200 was a standard issue at Microsoft so I’m surprised the driver was not there by default.

Oh yeah, for those who care about such things, my Vista score was 1.0 for graphics. That meant Aero was turned off by default but it did run when I enabled (I’ve since turned it off in fear of excessive heat).

* It’s getting remarkably close to 2 years with this thing and I just can’t stand the thought of replacing it. Eventually I guess I’ll move to the M400 or the equivalent with Core 2 Duo.
