Lovin’ Yahoo! Music Unlimited

I’m a big fan of subscription music services like Napster and Yahoo! Music Unlimited. I know it’s not for everybody and that’s OK. I got frustrated with Napster a few months back. It seemed like it took an incredibly long time to get new music or it would only be available to buy (i.e., not included in the subscription). I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I’m in Canada so they have to negotiate with different folks for distribution rights.

So the other day I saw an ad for a new album from one of my favourite bands (Jars of Clay) and figured it would be a while before I could get it via Yahoo! Music. Nope. It was there the next day. Cool!

There’s lots of hype about the new iTunes automatically downloading missing cover art for your music library. I’m not a big cover art person. But I must say I like this one a lot:

Oh, and the incomparable Leigh Nash sings vocals on a song on this album, in case you care.
