This is Refreshing: Journalist Refuses to Lead with Celebrity Gossip

This is fantastic!  Mika Brzezinski of MNSBC refuses on-air to lead with a story about a celebrity hotel heiress getting out of jail.  She tries to burn it, then tears it up, and finally shreds the story when the producer gives it to her again.  There is important stuff happening in the world and I applaud her for taking a stand against reporting celebrity gossip not worthy of precious broadcast time.

I don’t watch MSNBC, so who are the two idiots (I wanted to use a more deragatory term there as I don’t think idiot is harsh or descriptive enough, but thought better of it) she’s having to work with? I’m going to the MSNBC site to see if I can find out more about this and offer positive comments on Ms. Brzezinski decision. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Derek.
