Update Twitter with Blog Entries

I’m trying out the Twitter Updater plug-in for WordPress (http://blog.victoriac.net/blog/twitter-updater).  When you publish or edit a post, it sends a tweet with the title and URL of the new blog post.

It seems to have trouble when I post from Windows Live Writer though.  It doesn’t send the "New post is published" message but it sends the "Old post has been edited" message twice.  The first tweet has the wrong URL style and the second tweet uses TinyURL.  And the post title is omitted.  It all works fine from the WordPress web interface.

Anyone know how to fix that?
